Understanding the process
A convocatoria is a public call for applications issued by government agencies, foundations, or international bodies. Civil society organizations and civil associations in Mexico regularly respond to these calls to obtain funding or project support for their activities.
Most convocatorias require applicants to demonstrate administrative order. This typically means having current CLUNI registration, organized donation records, up-to-date SAT compliance documentation, and internal procedures that show how the organization operates.
Organizations that have not maintained their administrative documentation often find themselves unable to complete applications when a relevant convocatoria opens. The window to apply is usually short.
What convocatorias typically ask for
While requirements vary by program and issuing body, these administrative documents appear frequently in convocatoria requirements for Mexican OSC.
Legal constitution documents
Acta constitutiva and any modifications. These establish the legal existence of your organization and its registered purpose.
CLUNI registration certificate
Active CLUNI registration is a requirement for many federal funding programs. Organizations without it are often excluded from consideration.
Tax compliance documentation
Proof of current RFC registration, tax situation opinion (opinión de cumplimiento), and recent annual declaration documentation.
Internal procedure documentation
